Asteya, LLC (“Asteya”) is committed to protecting your privacy. Asteya is a platform transforming the way people think about clothes. We are on a mission to reduce apparel waste by connecting people to personal stylists and sustainable brands. We have prepared this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) to describe to you our practices regarding the personal information we collect from users on our website, located at www.asteya.co (the “Site”), and the services offered through the Site (collectively, the “Services”).

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE GATHER?

When visiting the Site, you are required provide us with your name, email address, telephone number, physical address, as well as information regarding your style preferences in order to book a Wardrobe Consultation Appointment and use the Asteya Services. We also collect your preference regarding direct email marketing in the form of a Newsletter and to register interest in new Asteya Services. When you use our Services, some information may be automatically collected. For example, when you use our Services, your geographic location, how you use the Services, information about the type of device you use, your mobile network information, your Open Device Identification Number (“ODIN”), date/time stamps for your visit, your unique device identifier (“UDID”), and your browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) address, and domain name are all collected. This information is generally used to help us deliver the most relevant information to you and administer and improve the Services.

Booking Services. When you book a Wardrobe Consultation Appointment, our third party booking provider will collect your name, email, phone number, date, time, and location of the Appointment, and styling preferences. For online booking, we use the services of Acuity Scheduling ([https://acuityscheduling.com]). We collect and store the information that you provide to Acuity Scheduling.

Log Files. As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes IP addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (“ISP”), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information to maintain and improve the performance of the Services. 

Cookies. Like many online services, we use cookies to collect information. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that a website sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing the website. We and some third parties may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Services and to market the Services or other products.

Marketing Companies. We work with a number of companies that assist in marketing our services to you on third party websites. These companies may collect information about online activities conducted on a particular computer, browser or device over time and across third-party websites or online services for the purpose of delivering advertising that is likely to be of greater interest to you, on our sites and apps and those of third parties. Analytics Companies. We work with a number of third party analytics companies that collect information anonymously and report website trends without identifying individual visitors. These services allow us to view a variety of reports about how visitors interact with the Services so we can improve our website and understand how people find and navigate it.

Creation of Anonymous Data. We may create anonymous data records from personal information by excluding information (such as your name) that makes the data personally identifiable to you. We use this anonymous data to analyze request and usage patterns so that we may enhance our Services and improve the Site. We reserve the right to use anonymous data for any purpose and disclose anonymous data to third parties in our sole discretion.

Financial Information. When you book an Appointment for the Services, our third party payment provider will collect payment and billing information in order to process the transaction. To keep your financial data secure, we do not store credit card information on our servers. For online payments, we use the payment services of Square ([https:// squareup.com]). We do not process, record, or maintain your credit card or bank account information. WHAT DO WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT?

You are required to provide personal information in certain fields in order to use the Asteya Services. The personal information we collect is used only for the purpose we state at the time of collection or for the purposes contained below. For example, our uses may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • We will use your information to process payments through third party providers and for appointment booking purposes. 
  • We may use your email address to contact you about new features on the Site, or to provide you with other information that is relevant to your use of the Asteya Services, including appointment confirmation and reminders.
  • We may use your cell phone number to call or text you in order to provide you notifications about Services, for marketing purposes and to administer the Site. You may be liable for standard SMS and per-minute charges by your mobile carrier. 
  • We may use your information for internal record keeping purposes related to your use of the Asteya Services.  
  • We may use and share collected personally identifiable information with third-party vendors and service providers which whom Asteya works to provide application 2 programming interfaces (“APIs”) and other functions for the Sites in connection with the provision of Asteya Services. 
  • We, or our affiliates, may periodically send you promotional emails about new products or special offers, or other information which we believe may be of interest using the email address provided. 
  • From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, or mail. 
  • We may use your information to customize the website according to your interests.  
  • We may disclose your information to implement and enforce our Terms of Service. 
  • We may disclose your information to respond to subpoenas, judicial processes, or government requests or investigations.
  • We may use your information to protect the security of our Services, servers, network systems and databases or to protect our users and affiliates against liability or harm.

We will not use your personally identifiable information, however, to send commercial or marketing messages to you unless we have your continued consent for which you will have the ability to opt out by sending an email to info@asteya.co. The Site does not collect personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily and knowingly provide such information to us. This means that we will not know your name, your email address, or any other personally identifiable information unless you book a Wardrobe Consultation using the Site. We may store your personal information in the United States and other countries.

WHO CAN USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW?

We may provide your information to third parties, or third parties may collect information from you on our behalf if we have contracted with that third party to provide some part of the information or service that you have requested. By written agreement, these third parties are required to implement similar security measures and will process your information only as authorized by us to fulfill the service that they have been contracted to provide. Other than those who act on our behalf and except as explained in this Privacy Policy, information you provide at this Site will not be transferred to unrelated third parties, unless we have your permission to do so. However, please note that personal information provided to this Site is subject to disclosure pursuant to judicial or other government subpoenas, warrants or orders. We allow you to control the disclosure of your non-public personal information to third parties for the marketing of third-party products and services (i.e., your consent is required for disclosure). We offer you choices regarding the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information. We may use third party analytics vendors to evaluate and provide us with information about the use of our Services and viewing of our content. Some of the information you see on our Sites may be customized based on automated predictions about your interests, which predictions are generated from your visits over time and across different websites, using tools such as Google Analytics. This information allows us to create content of greater interest to you and can also be used to serve ads based on your past visits to our Site. WHAT IS OUR PRIVACY POLICY IF YOU ARE UNDER 13?

We understand the importance of protecting the privacy of all individuals, especially the very young. Our Services are intended for United States audiences over the age of 18. We neither target nor sell our Services to children under the age of 13. We do not collect or maintain personal information from children we actually know are under the age of 13. If a child under 13 submits personal information to us and we learn that the personal information is the personal information of a child under 13, we will take steps to remove the personal information from our databases. Using our Services is restricted to adults who are either 18 years of age or older or as otherwise legally defined.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LINK TO A THIRD PARTY WEBSITE?

If you click on a link and go to another site, you will be subject to that website’s privacy policy. If we conduct business with that website such that we need to exchange personally identifiable information, we will make sure that the business has a privacy policy just as protective as ours. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE UPDATE OUR PRIVACY POLICY?

We may on occasion update our Privacy Policy. Your acceptance of any minor changes to this Privacy Policy is indicated by your continued use of our Services. If we make any material changes to our Privacy Policy, we will post a notice about the change at a prominent location on the Site. WHAT HAPPENS IF WE SELL OUR BUSINESS?
